The Alpha Clinic Care Plan
Physician-Led Hormone Optimisation Care Designed Around You
Hormone optimisation at The Alpha Clinic is delivered as structured, physician-led care rather than one-off appointments.
Our Hormone Optimisation Care Plan supports ongoing monitoring, clinical oversight, and treatment refinement over time, allowing your Alpha physician to guide your health proactively rather than reactively.
This model reflects how we believe optimal hormone medicine should be practised - with regular review, biomarker monitoring, and continuity of care focused on long term outcomes.
Where Your Personalised Care Begins
What The Care Plan Provides
The Hormone Optimisation Care Plan provides the clinical framework required for safe, effective, and personalised hormone optimisation treatment.
It allows your Alpha physician to:
• monitor your progress over time
• review biomarkers regularly
• adjust treatment where needed
• respond early to changes
• support and optimise your long-term health, not just focus on symptoms
Rather than billing individual visits, the Care Plan supports the broader structure of care surrounding your treatment.
Care is delivered through regularly scheduled physician-led consultations

How Your Care Works
A simple guide to starting Hormone Optimisation at The Alpha Clinic.

This consultation is $330, is approximately 45 mins to 1 hour in duration and marks the formal start of your structured care pathway. If treatment is initiated, ongoing care is delivered through our structured hormone optimisation care plan.

-
Once treatment begins, your physician will review your progress at approximately 6–8 weeks after starting therapy, and again at the three to four month mark.
After this, follow-up consultations are typically scheduled every three to four months to monitor your response, review laboratory markers, and adjust treatment where needed.

Optimal Hormone Health Deserves Physician-Led Care
Frequently Asked Questions
-
Hormone optimisation is a physician-led medical approach that focuses not only on treating symptoms, but on supporting long-term health, function, and wellbeing. Care is guided by a detailed assessment of your symptoms, medical history, lifestyle factors, and laboratory results, with treatment tailored to your individual physiology and goals.
Unlike episodic insured services that often focus on resolving a single concern at a time, hormone optimisation involves ongoing monitoring, regular follow-up, and careful adjustment of therapy over time. The aim is to ensure treatment remains appropriate, safe, and aligned with your overall health trajectory, rather than simply addressing short-term symptom relief.

In British Columbia, the Medical Services Plan (MSP) covers a wide range of medically necessary services. However, there are some services that fall outside the scope of MSP coverage—these are known as uninsured services or uninsured fees. Patients are responsible for the cost of these services, and they are billed directly to the individual or their private insurance provider.
Why do uninsured fees exist?
The BC government funds medically necessary care to ensure equitable access for all residents. Services considered non-essential are not publicly funded. As a result, these services are not covered by MSP and require direct payment at the time of the visit.
Fees for The Alpha Clinic Care Plan and consultations are exclusively for uninsured components of care, including non-physician services.
Insured physician visits, after-hours care, prescribed tests, and other publicly insured services will be billed directly to the provincial health insurance plan by The Alpha Clinic or its physicians.
Provincial health insurance plans consistently provide essential physician services in prevention and disease management.
Subscription to The Alpha Clinic is not a requirement for accessing insured physician services.
